Vox needs an iPhone web application

I have had the same wish since I got my iPod Touch for Christmas. The best I can do is send email to my VOX account and have it show up as a post. And it really sucks not being able to post comments on post either. Thanks for bringing up this issue.

I'll second that. I've accessed Vox a few times with my iPod Touch - I'm still blown away my the excellent browser on the iPod. But to post, I still rely on the Vox app released for the Palm platform. I use my Treo680 to moblog when I'm away from my laptop. It's simple to use, but lacks a lot of functionality.

Beefing up the iPhone version would be a welcome development. Especially as I intend to migrate to an iPhone at some point in 2008. (Can't wait to see what's announced at Macworld re. the iPhone, btw)

Word.

Perhaps when the SDK comes out...or on Tuesday. :)

(Wishful thinking, I know)

My bet is that Google has had the SDK for a while and we will see Googles efforts on the iPhone, that I think, will also work on Android... mark my words!

I, too, want to see an iPhone web application on the iPhone. Really, I don't understand why that hasn't happened already. Why not? The iPhone is such an excellent portable internet device.

Ditto.
No problem with the N800/N810. Or even my N95... I guess jou guys should complain to Apple.

I think I read that the problem has something to do with Safari not being compatible with the VOX rich text data entry window. This is getting lame. I go right to the post I want from my email, then can't comment! I just want to be able to type characters at least. It's such an awesome platform for so many other things. It's kind of embarrassing to tell people I can't post to VOX from iPhone by now... I think the last major thread about this by the systems people was in late 2006(!)

I finally have my holy grail of bitchin' iPod and pretty darn good smart phone in my pocket. :)
AMEN! Brother!

Perhaps with the new SDK release, the Vox team will find some motivation to build a Vox web app, or even an internal application. *crosses fingers*
The sad thing is that 6A has not released the API for accessing Vox. So I can't even write a third party client on iPhone or the desktop to talk to Vox, like I can with TypePad. This is so frustrating, and I bet it has to do with the fact that TypePad is paid while Vox is free. And 6A needs the web traffic for the ads revenue...
Do you think that 6A incorporated an API into the Vox code? That also might be an issue...
I was told by Anil that they are all there, hidden. But since 6A has not published the API and I don't particularly want to expand energy in reverse engineering an undocumented API, I assumed the position that it is not there.
